Dentafits, Inc. is a dedicated Managing General Underwriter (MGU) specializing in “Aggregate” Stop Loss insurance for self-funded prescription (Rx), dental and vision group benefit programs.

Dentafits has been underwriting Stop Loss insurance for over 25 years, with underwriting authority in 50 states. Our underwriting staff has over 60 combined years of underwriting experience.

Our founder, Renny Thomas, Sr. LUTCF, started in the insurance industry in 1961. Mr. Thomas successfully owned and operated a Third Party Administrator (TPA) facility in Covina, California for 25 years. In 1979, Mr. Thomas formed Dentafits, Inc. a “special market” MGU. In 1993 Mr. Thomas sold his TPA facility to a national firm and subsequently moved Dentafits, Inc. to Palm Springs, California in 1996.

In 1998, Mr. Thomas’s son, Renny Thomas II PhD, MBA, whose prior career was in radio and television broadcasting, joined the firm and is Vice President of Corporate Development and Chief Operating Officer of Dentafits, Inc.

In 2002, Dentafits Inc. formed RxReins, a new division specializing in the underwriting of prescription Stop Loss insurance. Today RxReins has grown to become a nationally recognized name in the Stop Loss market place.
